(Using your AIM as refrence) If it still thinks you are signed on, but you
are off. Sounds like it MAY be something you have no control of. I tested
something here in my house, with my IM running, I unplugged my PC's cable
from my switch, and it took 30-45 seconds for the IM to show that I "was not
signed in", i replaced the cable, and it (the connection) still didn't work.
I infact had to 1. Restart my PC, 2. Disable, then Re-Enable, or 3. Repair to
make it work again. Might be something to ask the college system
administrator, but I am not 100% sure this is not just coincidence. (hope i
spelled that right!) Best of Luck trying to nail this problem down!
