I'm experiencing a similiar problem to many of the threads. Any help would be
appreciated.
PC1 - XP Home
PC2 - XP Pro (SFS is enabled)
Both are connected through a linksys router (obtain IP)
Both reach the internet just fine.
Both have the same workgroup name with seperate computer names.
I created the workgroup on PC1 1st.
I rebuilt PC2 from the ground up this afternoon and set its workgroup to
match PC1
All settings seem to match all suggestions in similiar threads.
PC1 (XP Home) Sees the entire workgroup (Windows Explorer) both PC1 & PC2.
Can access all shared files on PC1 and PC2. (Works as expected)
PC2 (XP Pro) can't seem to see the workgroup. when I attempt to access the
workgroup in any manner i get the following errror msg....
"<workgroup name> is not accessible. You might not have permission to use
this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out
if you have access permissions.
The network path was not found."
Any thoughts?
