Is there a way to get rid of the icon XP (Home SP2) displays in the
tray (little monitor with radio waves and a red X, tooltip "<name of
connection> not connected. right-click for more options") when a
wireless connection is unavailable? I have tried unchecking "notify
me when this connection has limited or no connectivity" for the
connection, but the darned icon still shows up... I don't remember
having this problem before the SP2 upgrade...
This is especially annoying because I can't use Wireless Zero Config
because it doesn't support 256-bit WEP and so have TWO icons in the
tray (one from D-Link's utility for the wireless card, one from XP)
telling me I have no connection. ARGH! :(
