>More Precise:
The XP accesses the files using "My Network Places" and
going through the C: drive of the Win98 computer with this
folder on it. The XP is able to view the files as normal,
but when he tries to save, he gets a "read only" error
message. The message says that you cannot save, but you
can use "Save As" and create another copy.
The exact name of the folder we are trying to share
is "Shared Folder". In "My Network Places" we create a new
network place. We then browse and go through the workgroup
to make that network place the "Shared Folder".
thanks again,
