I have a Microsoft MN700 Hub.
My XP Home PC and Laptop (XP Pro with Wireless G) work fine connecting
to my home network and to the internet even through they are in different
domains, but my spare PC (running Win XP Home) which uses a D-Link PCI B
adapter (DWL-520) does not!
When XP was first loaded on the Spare PC, everything worked fine and the
internet was accessible. Internet connectivity stopped _as soon_ as i moved
the
Spare PC in to my "Home" domain.
Before i moved domains, i updated the Spare PC with all the latest patches
from windowsupdate. I have since tried to manually assign the DNS, Gateway
and IP address, but it still does not work. I also moved the machine back to
the default domain of "MSHOME" which is the one that the fresh install of XP
defines but that did not work either.
The only way i can make the spare PC network is if i re-install WinXP and
leave it in the MSHOME domain, but then it cannot see the other PC.
Any ideas why this happens?
