Hi

I'm trying to setup a 802.1x network (wired). As switch I use a Cisco
Catalyst 2950. I want to have port based authentication. Now I have two
question:

1. Is it possible that Windows sends at boot time the mac address for
authentification. How can I setup this in Windows XP?

2. If I use the option "Automatically use my Windows logon name and
password" this information is send befor or after the domain logon. The
problem is, that if I try this, I can't logon because it looks like windows
doesen't send this information and so the port can not be put into the
authorized state and so i have no connection to the DC. How do I have to set
up this correctly?

Thanks

Marco
