Hello Steve,
The best, cheapest and quickest way to fix this problem
and get done within an hour:
- Boot to the WinXP CD
- Select Repair and follow other screen instructions.
- After it Reboots and when you get to the Desktop, go to
the Windows Update Site and download them again.
