Network Connection Issue (File Sharing)

I am having a strange problem involving two Pentium 4
computers each running Windows XP Home version, SP2, a
Microsoft MN700 802.11g Wireless Router, a Cable Modem,
and a Sound Blaster Wireless Music device. Each computer
also runs Norton Internet Security 2004 (with Norton
Antivirus 2004) and each have been recently scanned with
Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D and are "Clean".

The cable modem is connected to the router (wired), the
router is connected to computer "A" (wired).
Computer "B" and the Sound Blaster device each connect
wirelessly to the router. The router is running
in "mixed compatibility mode" since the SoundBlaster is
an 802.11b device, but the adapter at Computer "B" is a
Lynksys 802.11g device.

The router sees all the devices just as it should with
separate IP addresses. That is, all devices show up in
the router's Management Tool correctly named and with
unique DHCP assigned IP addresses. Each wireless network
device is correctly configured for the right SSID, WEP
key, channel, etc. Wireless music device receives media
and plays just fine. When I am on either computer "A"
or "B", I can read e-mail, and surf the Internet just
fine. Adapter at computer "B" shows "Excellent"
connection at 54Mps. Bottom line is I seem to have full
connectivity to the router for each device/location.

My problem: I cannot see a "Workgroup" or shared files
from either computer in My Network Places, even though I
have "Microsoft File and Print Sharing" service running
on each network device at each computer, and have shared
folders at each location. I have checked the name of
each computer to make sure they are different, and that
the "workgroup" name is the same. I have read

articles, but neither solved my problem. They seem to
focus on Windows/Internet connection firewall as maybe
causing an issue, but I should point out that I am not
even running ICF. In Security Monitor, I have turned ICF
off and choose "I have a third party firewall that I will
monitor myself" (and yes, I have turned Norton Internet
Security off as well to see if that was causing the
problem).

I can successfully ping the router from each computer, I
can successfully ping internet IP addresses and named
internet addresses from either computer. I CANNOT ping
computer "B" from computer "A" and vice versa. Just for
kicks, I did add the NetBIOS protocol at each computer,
and got mixed results. Computer "A" could the see
Computer "B and its shared files, but Computer "B" still
could not see Computer "A" in My Network Places.

I have uninstalled and re-installed the router at
computer "A", the wireless adapter at computer "B", "File
and Print Sharing on Microsoft Networks" on both
computers several times, and have also un-shared and re-
shared files on each computer several times.
Installations occur without event, but still the same end
result.

I am very sorry this is such a huge post, but I wanted to
clarify previous posts and actions taken to date. I am
posting in microsoft.public.broadbandnet.hardware and in
microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web, since I have the
MN700 router and am not sure if that is the problem. If
neither is the right newsgroup please let me know.
