Wireless Domain Logon

We are IT professionals and have the following problem with a wireless
network:.

We are using Netgear WG311 cards in Windows XP professional SP1 and we are
attempting to connect to a Windows 2000 Server (fully patched).

The networking is working perfectly when we use a standard Windows logon -
strong signal and no problems. We have attached the PCs to the Windows domain
without any trouble.

However, it is when we try to logon to the Windows domain from
Ctrl-Alt-Delete that we experience problems. Iwe get the error message
"unable to find domain controller". We know the domain controller is working
properly as we have wired PCs on the same network that connect perfectly.

Netgear have confirmed this problem to be because the wireless service does
not start until after the logon screen, making a domain logon impossible
because the networking needs to be active to find the domain controller. This
is a catch 22 situation and Netgear say they are working on the problem.
However, in the interim, we are looking for a solution that can kickstart the
wireless networking before logon. Can anyone help?

Many thanks.
