I'm having trouble opening/logging in/viewing my Hotmail accounts from my
work computer. Other web sites also lag or don't show up, despite opening and
closing the browser and reloading the page, though most come up without any
trouble..
While I didn't have trouble getting into the main Microsoft page, when
trying to log in to Passport, it wouldn't show the log in page.
I experience the most trouble with Hotmail though. I think it does have
something to do with the Passport thing though, since I had trouble logging
in for this message board.
I doubt it is my internet connection. While it is slower than should be,
other pages load fine for me. Also, it does not seem to be Hotmail or MSN,
because I can get on fine at home, at all times of the day and night.
When trying to log into Hotmail, I'll often times experience trouble loading
even the log in page itself. If the log in page does load, often times after
submitting my password and username, it'll go to a blank page after, instead
of loading my mail. Though I'll get the log-in page more frequently, after
submitting my information, I rarely ever get to my Hotmail In-box.
In all cases, it will seem like the page is loading, the status bar will say
the data is transfering, but I could sit there for hours and nothing would
ever come up. I tried stopping and reloading, but while that occasionally
works, the chances of it working are slim. Sometimes I'll have access to my
mail for a few minutes and then while deleting or sending email, it'll do the
white page thing and I'll have to go back through the sign-in nightmare.
Normally this wouldn't be a problem, except that I need my hotmail address
for work! I could change it to a different server, but I'd rather not, and I
have all my contacts in my Hotmail address books.
Does anyone know what might be causing this (and just for Hotmail or a few
other sites?) or what I could do to remedy it?
Thanks!
