DNS server and DHCP server
Date: Mon, 6 Sep 2004 15:55:28 -0700
I want to make sure I understand the concepts of DNS and DHCP.
When we query a URL in web browser, http://www.yahoo.com, the web browser
will connect to DNS server in our local ISP provider to get an IP address of
http://www.yahoo.com.
For DHCP server, it assigns a dynamic IP address to the machine. It is also
from our local ISP provider?
please advise. thanks!!
