This is due to a couple of changes made by SP2.

1) The firewall is blocking the netbios traffic.
   Go to the firewall exceptions tab, and enable F+P sharing exception.

2) The Messenger service is stopped by default.
   Go to start | run | services.msc;
   Scroll down to find the Messenger Service,
   Start it, and set the startup type to Automatic.
