Justin,
this could be a BIOS defect. Have you checked for the latest
version of your laptop's BIOS?
I also think this warrants a question to the manufacturer. After
all it sounds as if all owners of this type of laptop could have
this same problem after they installed Service Pack 2.
It could, of course, be a pure Service Pack 2 problem as well,
we can't be sure.
