hi
i'd like to join my computer(xp) to 2000 active
directory ,but when i try to join i get an error message
( network name not found),i can ping to active directory,
DNS server working every thing is good but i don't know
what i do

The Specified Network Name is No Longer Available ... This error message "the specified network name is no longer available" is ... x Windows 2000 Server Boxes...ping both and have done a ping -t from one server to the other while copying ... (microsoft.public.win2000.networking)
Windows XP and 98 cant see each other ... and both systems ping gateway successfully.... can also ping loopback, it's own IP, and the IP of the XP, successful,... Oddly, the WIN 98 system icon shows up in Network Workgroups, but trying to ... XP yeilds the "master browser conflict" error message.... (microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web)
