I am new to networking and have hit a snag. I only have
2 computers directly connected to each other for use in
our small business. On 1 computer I have all the
breakdown drawings for all the tools we fix. The
workshop computer is smaller and slower and therefore
didn't want to bog it down with heaps of drawings. I
have XP pro running on both machines and have told the
main computer to share the files it needs to and they are
viewable from the second computer. When I try to view
the drawings from the second computer I get an error
message - Error in main 429 (active x component cannot
create object). Basic excel files and such are able to
be opened with ease, and there is even one supplier file
of drawings that has no problems either. The drawings
are supplied on CD and load themselves into C:\programme
files\(supplier name). I cant work it out can someone
please enlighten me if they have any knowlege.
Thanks kindly
