Hi.

I got myself a Motorola Gateway BB160 which is a wireless
gateway that you are supposed to plug into your adsl
connection so you can have wireless internet.

Well. I'm having trouble with setting it up from my
WinXP machine. The software that comes with it doesn't
work for XP so i downloaded some new software which
installs fine but then when i go to setup the gateway the
machine locks up. It shouldn't be any other software
causing a problem because i tried it when i first bought
the notebook before installing anything else.

Has anyone else got one of these and fixed the problem or
have any ideas? I don't really want to install 98 to set
it up and then reinstall xp again.

ALso the instruction *** doesn't say anything about
what ip address the gateway has so i can't get into it
with telnet or anything either. I tried the usual ones
like 192.168.0.1 192.168.1.1 10.0.0.1

Any help would be most appreciated.
