Can't connect to internet

I used Windows Update for my SP1 version and lost all
connectivity. I am now missing dll's, can't start device
manager, IPConfig returns no data, TCP/IP drivers are
installed. I think I have to rebuild. I do not want to,
once again, HELP PLEASE!
