XP Cached username\password not working - help!

Hi, pd -

Is the problem specific to this user? Can other users
(non-Domain Admins) use cached credentials on this
machine?

The first thing I'd look for is a domain policy that
restricts the number of cached logons. It's possible
domain admins are exempted from that policy. The default
number of cached logons on an XP Professional machine is
ten - a domain policy may have set that to zero.

Failing that, I'd say the user's profile was probably
corrupted. I'd copy the user's profile to a safe place,
create a new profile for the user and then move their
data back.
