Aurora,

If either computer truly lacks an Ethernet connection, the simplest thing to do
is bite the bullet and buy an Ethernet card for it. You can get one in any
store that sells computer parts - for under $20.

What make and model is this deficient computer? I doubt that very many made in
the last 12 months are being sold in such condition - Ethernet networking is
just about standard.

BTW, the cable you purchased is a cross-over cable, right? If not, you'll need
an additional identical cable, and a hub.
