When enabled on your Internet connection, XP's Internet Connection
Firewall (ICF) protects your computer against undesired incoming
traffic from the Internet. You don't need a program like Norton for
that.
However, ICF can't protect your computer against undesired outgoing
traffic from your computer to the Internet. Such traffic can be
caused by computer viruses and other malicious programs that get into
your computer. For that, you need a program like Norton.
