Set up mini LAN through gateway to DSL and 2 pc's, one running win98SE, one running XP Pro. XP now setup with workgroup. Ran net config wizard and took net floppy to pc on 98. Made firewall happy. Got pc's to see each other, share printer on 98, share files on designated sharedfolders. What I would like to do is be able to backup drives on one pc to the other and maybe same with drive images, + general file and disk sharing, so I'd like to map and share network drives, more than just share a single folder. Can I do this with XP as a workgroup, which I would like to do, or do I need to create a domain and figure out how to get pc on 98SE on domain? If workgroup works OK, how do I go about sharing drives, please?
