After I lost power today I could no longer access the Internet using
my "Lan or High-Speed" "always on" connection. I tried a boatload of
things: turn off power and reboot everything including modem,
(ipconfig/release-renew), hard reset on the modem. The modem did seem
to be working (lights on, etc.). I hooked it up to a Win 98 machine,
connected with a PPPoe connect (signon) and it worked. So I hooked it
back up to the XP machine and created a "Broadband" connection using
the "must signon options" and lo and behold I connected immediately.
That gets me somewhere - I can now get on the Internet again.

But how can I get back my "always on" connection? Any help will be
appreciated.
