Thanks for the response Ken....here is some info:
1. SSDP Discovery Service (svchost.exe) is running.
2. No firewall between (PC & Laptop on same LAN, so has
to be in the PC)
3. Internet Gateway Discovery & Control Client is enabled
4. SSDP Discovery Service host disabled...again PC &
Laptop on same LAN

Any other ideas...or how I can troubleshoot further?
