I'm using the IIS server that's included with XP Pro and I'm having a
problem with a directory under wwwroot. The directory is
C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\DataSource_PHP. The php file I'm trying to execute is
located at C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\DataSource_PHP\install.php
If I click on the link http://localhost/DataSource_MySQL/install.php I get
the error message "The directory name is invalid."
If I move install.php to http://localhost/install.php I don't get the "The
directory name is invalid." error message.
If I click on http://localhost/ and then click on DataSource_MySQL and then
on install.php I don't get the "The directory name is invalid." error
message.
If I click on http://localhost/DataSource_MySQL I get an "HTTP 404 - File
not found" error.
The issue is with the DataSource_MySQL directory, I think with access
permissions. I've configured the directory permissions using the Security
Tab on the property dialog. I've checked everything I could think of and
searched Microsoft's database of support articles and my Help and Support
Center but have been unable to correct the problem.
Does anyone know what the problem is, have a list of things I should check
to solve the problem, or a document resource that will help me analyze the
situation?
Thanks in advance!
Gene
