I am having exactly same problem. I have tried to create
a ipconfig.txt as suggested, but this doesn't work
either. (No file is created). I have pinged yahoo, but
it says Ping request could not find host. I can
successfully ping 66.94.230.33.
Please help,
Shelley

my laptop. I have cable internet. My desktop connects to
the internet but not my laptop. So, I know my cable
service if fine. I did ipconfig and I have a ip address. I
look at my network properties: It says I am connected at
10Mbits/sec. I am sending thousands of packets but
receiving only 50 or 60. Apparently I am not receiving
anything. I uninstalled and reinstalled my ethernet card.
It still does the same thing. I cannot surf the internet
nor connect to messenger services. Could it be a virus of
some sort.Should I format my conputer. Please help?
