internet explorer wont work since i uninstalled a websearch program. PLEASE HELP

internet explorer wont work since i uninstalled a websearch program. PLEASE HELP
it doesnt work it tries to connect but only the cannot find page shows up after, i uninstalled a web search tool bar program (which i had to go on the web to get it uninstalled) then restarted and then my browser stopped working at all, i would apreciate any help, thank you
