problem setting up home network

I am trying to network two computers, they are both win
xp pro. They both recognize the hub (the hub lights
flash). But they dont see eachother. When i try pinging
eachother it says request timed out. I ran the network
wizard on both computers.

someone recomedned me to disable firewalls, but it has
already been disabled. they are both on the same subnet
