    Hello

I am having problems when connecting to a domain on a
Win2k3 server with an XP computer. The computer does
connect to the domain, but the logon script never runs,
thus no drives are mapped. I need to click Start -> Log
Off and login again to get the logon script to run. This
is very consistent. It works this way, regardless of the
user account I am logging in with. All other workstations
on the domain are working fine, even with the same user
accounts I am having trouble with on the original
computer. The problem seems to be with the computer
itself. I reformatted the hard drive and reconfigured
everything from scratch, but that didn't help.

Event Viewer shows the following warning in the System
    log:

Your computer was not able to renew its address from the
network (from the DHCP server) for the Network Card with
address 000CF1AAA9B0. The following error occurred:
The Semaphore timeout period has expired. Your computer
will continue to try and obtain an address on its own
from the network address (DHCP) server.

An ipconfig does show an IP address, and as stated
earlier, I am connected to the domain, but the logon
    script does not run.

The computer is a new Dell Dimension, running Windows XP
Professional with an Intel Pro/100 VE nic card. Any ideas?

    Thanks
