ftp problems with XP Pro on laptop

Hi, Tony -

I'd try setting IE to do FTP transfers in passive mode.

Look under Tools --> Internet Options --> Advanced and
check the box that says "Use Passive FTP (for firewall
and DSL modem compatibility)".
