Hi all

We have a strange problem. Running W2k servers but recently a couple of XP pro machines (already logged onto our domain and working fine) would stop allowing any domain user (inc admin) onto the machine. Said something like "the path to the domain controller could not be found" If i logged in as local admin i could browse to and access the servers (inc domain controller) I then logged the machine off the domain (onto a workgroup) but it would not allow me to then log it back onto the domain. The same error came up.

I found the only solution was to delete the computer from the ADirectory then within AD create a new computer account for the machine. It woul then allow me to log the machine back onto the domain.

I know I've given the solution but could anyone shed some light on the situation ? (all servers W2k SP4 all problem machines XP pro SP1)

Cheers for any replys.
