Hi all, and hopefully thanks in advance.
A lot of our employed are travelling all around the world
the common way to access our company network was to
establish an ssh connection with an tunnel for an terminal
server system. We have a new installed windows 2003
terminal server, previous times we used citrix terminal
software. Now we want to replace citrix by accessing the
windows 2003 terminal sever. Every thing so far works fine
excepts when accessing with windows xp.
We are tunnelling the port 3389 for RDP from the server to
the localhost. A web search told us that we need to move
the files mstsc.exe and mstscax.dll in a separate sub
directory and to run the mstsc.exe in compatibility
(either 95 or 98) mode (strange behaviour).
After doing this we can establish the remote connection
ones (per new client installation), every further times we
get an error stating that there was a licence protocol
error and that we should try to reconnect or to ask our
admin (but also they don't have any further idea).
Hallo Microsoft, that is your product, is there any
solution running xp on the client.
Does anyone else found the same problems maybe with a
solution..? We would be very grateful because our
employees are not very happy with the current situation.
Regards
Erik
