You may find that Blaster is shutting down the computer before you can get online and download the security patch.
If this is the case, follow these steps to stop this from occurring...
Start the computer. Use the CTRL-ALT-DEL keystroke to bring up the Security window. Click the "Task Manager" button.
In the Task Manager window, click the "Processes" tab.
Search for, and highlight the process, "MSBLAST.EXE" and click the "End Process" button. Terminate the process.
Close the Task Manager window.
>From the Start Menu, choose Control Panel, then click "Network and Internet Connections" to view your "Network Connections."
Right-Click the Dial-Up or Network connection you wish to protect, and choose "Properties"
Click the "Advanced" tab and select the "Protect my computer…" check box, then click "OK"
Now you will have time to read over www.microsoft.com/blaster
