FTP home directory on XP Home?

Using IIS 4.0 on Windows NT 4.0 server, can I locate an
ftp home directory on an XP Home machine elsewhere on my
network?
I've tried it, but keep getting "home directory
inaccessible".
I have confirmed my IIS setup by making the home directory
a local directory (on the IIS machine), and a share on
another machine running Windows 2000. It works in both
instances.
So is this a limitation of XP Home?
Thanks,
Debbie
