Did you encounter any difficulties when you first set up
the network (messages, etc)?

Check your setup on comp2. and make sure you have all the
necessary options enabled to allow you to see its files on
the other computer (in the network wizard, control panel,
etc-- check things such as file sharing, etc.) Basically
make sure the same access settings that work on comp1 are
the same on comp2.

When you enter the network on comp1, are you able to see
comp2 as part of the network at all? If not, make sure
comp2 is set up on the same network and workgroup as
comp1. Also, if you use 3rd party software for your
ethernet connection, you may want to try reinstalling that
fresh.

If none of that works try setting up the network again on
the problem computer; do everything like new. If each comp
is running a different version of Windows (I'm assuming
one of them is XP), remember to set up the network on BOTH
computers using the XP CD.
