That will let you define two alternate TCP/IP configurations:
1. Configure the primary configuration to obtain an IP address
automatically. That will be used when you connect to a network that
has a DHCP server.
2. Click "Alternate Configuration" and configure a fixed IP address.
That will be used when you connect to a network that doesn't have a
DHCP server.
Both configurations have the same settings for domain vs. workgroup,
domain name, workgroup name, etc. All that's different between them
is dynamic vs. static IP address.
