I only have Nero 6 that came with my computer. When I clicked on Make
Audio
CD the "Allow files to be added later (Multisession disk)" is grayed
out.

When I click on "Make Nero Digital Audio CD" the multisession disk is
available but my music files are not. Those are the files copied from
my
LP
records to my HD using Audacity.

The alternative would be to have enough music to fill the CD in one
session.
Do you have an other suggestion.

IRC in Nero 6 when you get the screen that gives you the options for
burning
a CD, DVD etc, click on the Tab marked BURN and you should be able to
deselect Finalise which in turn will free up the Multisession option - I
think (I upgraded so I can't remember). Whatever, look through the tabs
and
you'll see what I mean.

Why aren't your music files available ? You need to select them or show
Nero
where they are. On the same screen as mentionned above, click on NEW once
you've set the burning options, then you can navigate to where your files
are.

Audio CD accepts folders and .wav files (multisession remains grayed out)
what ever I do.

Make WMA CD only accept folders. .wav files are not shown. Multisession
is
possible.

The files in the folders were ripped using Windows Media Player. The .wav
files were generated using Audacity. I do not know the format of the
files
in the folders.

Here's the Nero 9 how to, which should be somewhat the same as Nero 6 :

Before hand, make sure your wave files have been saved as 16bit, 44kHz, PCM
Wave files (in other words as per a commercial CD), if not you'll have to
convert them down or up with Audacity, as Nero - or any burning software -
will refuse to burn them as they're not of the CD industry standard. Neither
will it will not convert them for you on the fly. Select a wave file, right
click on it > Properties > Summaery > check out what it says. As you already
have Audacity, use that to convert if necessary. (In Preferences you can
programme Audacity to always write to the CD standard).

1) Fire up Nero bruning ROM (not Express)

2) If you don't have the Burning Options window open, choose New > Audio CD

3) In the Burn Tab you should be able to un-tick "Finalise" which will give
you the multi-session option.

4) OK > then you should get the main Nero screen which will allow you to
choose your files. Burn away.

BTW, some hi fi and car systems (even newer ones) cannot read mutli session
CD's, (they won't anyway unless they're finalised), due to the file
strfucture on the CD. You might want to hang off burning CD's until you've
got enough music to go on.

Re your first poast : the obvious answer is to burn 2 LP's per CD (if the
total time comes to around 74 minutes or so).

WMP is known for asking for a CD to be put in it when there is already one
in and no solid cure AFAIA. Personnaly I never use it, favouring Nero or
CDBurnerXp.

If you decide to "dump" WMP, you should turn off IMAPI Burning ROM Service
in the Windows Services (set it to Manual) as it can cause conflicts with
Nero and other burning software. If will start if necessary but not
otherwise.

Nero 6 does not appear to be like Nero 9

Downloaded CDBurnerXP, IMAPI Burning ROM Service in the Windows Service was
already set to Manual.

I will let you know how things turn out.
