I found I can rename files on the player using windows explorer, but the
thing is not allowing me access to the files to play them.
I get the main menu and when I try to select something on the main menu
ie music, I never get the subfolder, I always get shunted to the player
trying to record an audio file. I have at one point recorded and managed to
listen to an audio book, now for some reason it just won't get me where I
need to go.
I think I'm ready to toss it, andget an apple product, at least then I'll
have some support (of some kind)

Thanks for the tip. How do I handle trying to get multiple cd audio
book, to
save to the shuffle? iTunes doesn't see more than one cd, ( of which an
audio
book can span several) the track names are the same in each CD.
one idea I had was to create multiple folders on the shuffle, each
containing an entire cd's worth of audio files, but since I'm not all
that
familiar with the shuffle, how would I get from one folder to another,
when
I'm trying to listen to the book.

I can't see my ipod shuffle using WMP XP pro latest updates/srvs pcks,
device
is seen using itunes, do I need a plug in for WMP?
so far the apple site says the entire itunes software is the plug for
WMP,
Huh?
I need some direction on this.
My two cents (Euro) :
You'll need to rip the CD's as mp3 files or aac files.
So rip CD then use a tag editor in iTunes for example for aac files or
this for mp3's http://www.id3-tagit.de/ and name as follows :
AlbumTag = 01 > track n° 01, 02, 03 etc
Album Tag = 02 > track n° 01, 02, 03 etc
Should work as each tag will be slightly different.
Hope thats clear,
Cheers,
Jerry
