also, i think the usb is okay as i had all space used w/ 400 songs or so, so
it seemed to work properly the first time I did it, but just when I tried to
delete 7,8 songs & add the same, did i lose track of what started to happen

Hey all,OK, here we go.
I am new to doing this, so bear with me.
I had synced up the MP3 previously, moved all my music there. Then I
changed, or thought I changed some tunes around - deleted some, added
some - but then when I next turned it on, it said No File !
Okay, somehow, I apparently deleted them all ? I didn't think so as I
saw them all in the Right Pane, under the listed Device.
Now when I hook it up again to take a look, I don't see my music list in
the right pane, rather, I see a + sign & a lot of apparently, Chinese
words! So I clicked on the + sign & see a lot of + signs, where my music
was yesterday & more Chinese writing. SO I shut down WMP10, disconnected
the MP3 & started over & again, I see the list of + signs & Chinese
writing !
NoW WhAt ?!?!
Thanks very much !

You don't state what type of mp3 payer you have so its going to be a stab
in the dark.If its a drag and drop type then go on bleow. If its a
proprietry brand (Apple, Phillips etc) then you'll probably need specific
software to load the songs - as in the case of an iPod, for example.
Right click on My Computer > Explore > then the following : Tools >
Folder Options > View > then click on Show Hidden Files and Folders >
Apply > OK. (Note : to hide Hidden files, click on the roundel abve "Show
Hidden .... etc). Apply and OK)
Your mp3 player should show up as a HD drive in the Folders pane on the
left hand side, just underneath your CD/DVD player/recorder. Does it ?
If it does not, then you need to change your USB cable and/or port.
If it does, then click on the + symbol and open up the tree. You should
see, in some form or other, whether you have any mp3 files on the player.
If you don't, then you'll have to load them up again.
If you do, then your player may need re-initialising to get rid of the
"Chinese" like writing. If so, then you'll have to re-install everything.
A bit vague, but then without knowing mdel/make etc of your mp3 player
its difficult to know what to do.
Cheers,
Jerry
