How do I uninstall and reinstall the sound driver?
Not sure which is the sound driver. I think it's Intel(r) 82801BA/BAM
AC'97
Audio Controller. Does that make sense? The modem is a SoftV92 Data Fax
Modem, which is attached to COM3.
Thanks!

The sound on my computer doesn't work since someone came to install a
new
modem. I wasn't here, so I'm not sure what he did (and he's not easy to
get
hold of, which is why I'm posting this).
The system sounds do not work. I've checked the volume controls--none
of
them are muted. I looked at the sounds and audio option in control
panel,
and
it all looks normal. I've even compared the settings with the ones at
work,
where the sound does work.
Please help!
Thanks,
Suroor
What modem and what sound card ?
Tied to un-install, reboot and re-install your soundcard drivers ?
Cheers,
Jerry
Download the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website : Asus... MSI
etc
Right Click on My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager > Sound
Video etc and you'll find it there. un-install it, re-boot and install.
Cheers,
