Thanks, Jerry.
You were very helpful. Turns out my installer was corrupted. After
deinstalling and reinstalling, all is well.
Thanks, again!

Hi.
I hope someone can help. I have Windows XP (Home Edition) and have
been
using an older version of iTunes. I have tried multiple times to
download
the latest version (7.5). I run the application and then, each time,
it
gets
stuck on the Windows Installer (preparing to install). After several
minutes, I get the following error message: "msiexec.exe has
encountered
a
problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Can anyone help? I want buy my husband an iPhone for Christmas, but
need
the latest version of iTunes.
Thanks!!
Go to the MS site and make sure you have all recent updates, especially
your
MS Installer.
