my computer shut down improperly and i lost all data on it,including the
audio mixer device for sound so i cant adjust the sound where can i
download this again????
You probably can't (if its the MS mixer thats buggered up).
Stick your XP CD into whatever player you have and then :
Start > Run > type in msconfig and OK > select Expand File > Follow the
instructions.
The file you're looking for is sndvol32.exe and you need to transfer a clean
copy from the XP CD to c:\windows (or whatever your XP root file is
called)\system32.
Did that work ?
If not, and you have a specific mixer/sound set up that came with your
soundcard, then you'll need to re-install whatever software came with your
soundcard. The easiest thing is to visit the manufacturer's website and
download the latest XP specific set.
