to my MP3 player, I have installed the software that came with the devise and
have read the instructions over and over and I actually think they missed a

Possibly a bad USB port? A/V software monitoring that drive?

Are other devices working OK through that connection - camera, webcam,
printer etc? I think the acid-test may be those devices where you have to
send data (printer, other mass-storage drives...).

There was no software at all that came with the mp3 player, it does not
require it.

i just receieved a legend jazz mp3 player, and eventhough windows
doesnt
always recongize the usb device this is not the main problem.

when i try to send the mp3 files to my drive D, which is the usb
storage,
an
error comes up and says that i "cannot copy or send this file: file
path
does
not exist'
blah blah blah
now i have thousands of mp3's on my PC, and i know they work and i
know
their location is correct
this is very frustrating, please could anyone be of assistance
much appreciated if you can
Paul

Was there any software with the mp3 player ? Did you install it before
plugging in your USB drive ?

Always install the software BEFORE you plug in the the hardware.

Cheers,
Jerry
