figured out what I wanted to kno so dont worry but as rick said its in grey.
I have also figured out a way to do that but I think there might be a easyer
way. But if u want to know how i did it?
here it is: First you have to have real player. 2nd inpot the song into the
library. 3rd right click on it and say edit info or something. and last fill
it in. but there has to be another way im sure u can figure it out.
thank you

OK except the summary page is greyed out and won't allow me to add any.
information...how do I get access (remove the grey)

Very very vague is putting it mildly. I believe he wants/needs to edit
the songs to add the artist. Rightclick the individual song and click
Properties. Then click the Summary tab where you can edit each song
to add information. I hope this will help, if not, I don't understand your
questions either.

Please, you are being very very vague. This isn't the psychic hotline!
Do you mean to say "how do I add the name of an artist to a music file in
Windows Media Player"? Or are you talking about another piece of software or
file type?
Do you know the name of the artist, or do you need to look it up?

Figuring out what you are asking "how to name the artist not the name the
artist" (???), or what files or software you are referring to is probably
an
order of magnitude more difficult.
