The problem is that there are so MANY possible causes of that sort of problem that one would have to write a textbook to cover all the possibilities from what little info you have provided.

I couldnt give that info because this is a friends computer that i changed
the board on and of course it isnt in front of me. Im sure im not the only
one with this type of problem and i thought someone may have had an answer up
front. The only thing hes tried is turning down hardware acceleration and
updated drivers.
