perky (alperk47asif@xxxxxxxxxxx) in uIwLn7ukGHA.4336@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:
when i open an audio file from My Music folder,I am prompted to
choose a programme to open it with.i select windows media player and
the track plays.my problem is that i am asked everytime i play a
track.i have checked the box which says'always use this programme to
open this kind of file' and in the tools menu in wmp,i have
associated wmp with all audio files and yet i am still asked
everytime. i have upgraded to wmp10,same problem so i reverted back
to wmp9.anybody any ideas
I would not revert for reasons like this. :-)
I would look for the cause in two directions, both concerning the Registry:
either that the new settings don't make it into the Registry files,
or that something keeps restoring the Registry into the state prior to your
adjustment.
It takes somebody more expierenced in this respect for a more precise
answer.
A futile explanation would be, that you log into your computer using
different accounts - that use different settings.
