Re: midi drivers wont install??

I just got a Alesis Photon x25 Midi controller to use with Reason
3.0. I've installed the drivers for the Photon that came on the cd,
but neither Reason nor any other program i try to use is showing the
controller as being connected and useable.
I've looked in the Device Manager and the Photon shows up as 'USB
Audio Device', then i went to Sounds and Audio Devices and looked
under 'Midi Music Playback' and it wasn't there. So I'm guessing that
maybe it's installing the USB device driver but NOT the MIDI one.
I've spent the day uninstalling, reinstalling, and restarting but
nothing works.

Any thoughts? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you found out in the meantime?

I have just bought one myself, and I have *eventually* managed to get it to
work (I have only tested it as a MIDI keyboard, so far.)
