I experience stuttering when using QuickTime (6, now 7), in a way that I
managed to resolve elsewhere by setting audio Hardware Acceleration to 0 (on
a notebook with RealTek AC'97 chip) or by using another driver model (MME,
WDM, ASIO).
It would be misleading to be more specific.
