What is the difference, please, between DVD+R and DVD-R (or RW)? When
purchasing media, is one preferable to the other?

My burner only sees and burns to DVD+ whether it's a R/W or a R only. I
would love to know the difference between the + and - myself. My step
daughter's computer only sees DVD-R/RWs, mine only sees DVD+R/RWs.

But you can substitute a "combo" drive with CDR/W capability and DVD-Rom capability for about the same cost as an ordinary DVD-Rom drive. ... Re: MMJB 10 a real pain! ... The burner will only burn at 4x, when looking up track info it frequently hangs and it seems to use a massive amount of resources! ... I've tried other software and they seem to work fine Nero burns at 44x, ...faster download.... I agree it is now a resource hog, and slow as molasses when loading, but otherwise works fine. ...
