Hey there bud! Sorry to tell you but it's PROBABLY due to hardware (the most
costly fix...)
#1 problem could be that you have an onboard audio card... Sometimes people
get lucky and do not have any problems with them. But if you have an onboard
audio card, meaning that your audio card is attached to the motherboard and
is NOT a PCI card, than this could be a possible problem. You can pick up a
half decent sound blasters for about 80$ CAN. However this might not fix the
problem for sure.
#2 problem could be the fact that you have, again, an onboard video card. So
instead of having a AGP (type of PCI) video card dedicated to your graphics,
you're sharing off of your systems RAM which can cause glitches in other
areas such as audio. A new video card... you're looking at $150 CAN.

It could be one of these two possible problems or it could even be both...
it's really hard to tell.

What I suggest is this, if you know the manufacturer of your audio card (if
you have an onboard audio card than this would be the same manufacturer as
your motherboard) than go to their website and try and find driver updates
for your audio card. If after downloading these, the problem still arises,
then try the two suggestions above. Good luck and I hope this helps!
