1. Check for availability of audio and/ or mouse driver updates from your
vendor site(s).

2. Right-Click blank area of desktop
    Select Properties | Settings | Advanced | Troubleshoot
    decrement (move) slider one notch to left

See if that helps. If not...

3. Right-Click blank area of desktop
    Select Properties | Appearance | Effects
    UnCheck all items, one-by-one, and see if the problem persists.

Don't know what you are using to play music, but, if WMP is your player of
choice, check to make sure SRS WOW effects and Equalizer are disabled. If
so, and still having problems you will likely need to dig deeper into
potential hardware issues. What you are seeing is most likely a hardware
acceleration problem, but that is only a best guess based upon your initial
post.
